CODE OF ORDINANCES – Smithfield Township

This Smithfield Township Code of Ordinances was prepared by Penns Valley Publishers, a division of Fry Communications, Inc., and adopted by the Township of Smithfield Board of Supervisors on June 14, 1999, by Ordinance Number 1999-1. The Code contains four parts which are: one, the valid current ordinances of the Township contained in Chapters 1 through 27; two, the Appendix, which lists by abstracted title all ordinances of a temporary or “one time” nature; three, the Key to the disposition of each ordinance ever enacted by the Township; and, four, the Index, which is an alphabetical arrangement of subjects.

From time to time the Township adopts or amends ordinances and there may be a time gap between adoption and posting on the Township website. Anyone interested in building, subdivision or land development activities should confirm with the Township Code Enforcement Officer (814-643-0567) that the ordinances on the website are the most recent version.
